RYA CEVNI Course 2016
February 24th and March 9th
That’s two Wednesday evenings starting at 20.00hrs for a maximum of 2 hrs each evening at the OFA Clubhouse – there is some homework to do in between !!
Cost £20 – includes all course material. Payment direct to Gerry Roper
For those who are not sure what CEVNI is ….
CEVNI (Code Européen des Voies de la Navigation Intérieur) is the inland waters endorsement for your ICC (International Certificate of Competence)
So you need an ICC – if you have a Day Skipper Practical, or better, you are entitled to one (it’s rather like an international driving licence) and by passing the CEVNI test you will qualify for the inland waters endorsement.
If you do not have an ICC, do not apply for one, as it will have to be renewed with the CEVNI endorsement after you have done the course.
You will be able to apply for a fully endorsed ICC on the course.
NOTE: All “boatmasters” (a CEVNI term) are required to have an ICC endorsed for “Inland Waters” when using the European inland waterways
Taking the CEVNI test is the only way to get an “Inland Waters” endorsement
Sorry, but a Yachtmaster Ocean ticket & xxx years of experience does not count !!.
Anyone interested in learning a bit more about travelling on the canals and rivers in Europe, and would like to take the CEVNI test, please e-mail email@example.com
More information to follow for those wishing to sign up.
Please let me know ASAP if you are interested
