The Channel Sailing Club prides itself on being affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association and being able to provide a range of shore-based RYA courses, from Yachtmaster to First Aid. We have a number of members who are trained instructors, meaning we can keep costs down and deliver courses at flexible times, including weekends and evenings.

Our shore-based training includes:

* Day Skipper

* Yachtmaster

* Radar

* First Aid

* VHF/SRC radio

* Diesel engine maintenance

* CEVNI

During the winter months, our schedule can include informal training sessions and lectures, aimed at broadening our sailing knowledge.

In addition, our sailing events, both cruising and racing, provide practical experience for members wishing to develop their skills.

Non-members of CSC are welcome to join the club if they wish to join a training course. Indeed, many have done so and remained members long after the course has ended.
